The nation is finding it difficult to believe that 39 of its innocent sons were brutally killed by the so-called Islamic State that once ruled a major part of Iraq and Syria. The shocking news came as the aggrieved families were still waiting for the return of their loved ones. External affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj, informed that they were killed by the terrorists. Later, Gen (retd) VK Singh Minister Of State, Ministry of External Affair brought back the bodies of the dead home. With their bodies came a disturbing fact that was being ignored for a long time – all the deceased were sent to Iraq as labourers by fake placement agencies.

Why was the government silent n this? Who should be blamed for ignoring the fact that bogus agencies are thriving in many states of the country?
