Filthy” Tom Lawlor Signs New Multi-Year Contract With…

“Filthy” Tom Lawlor is staying with MLW.

Just one week ago MLW CEO Court Bauer took to Twitter publicly acknowledging that Lawlor was leaving the company, thanking the former UFC fighter for his contributions to the promotion over the last two years.

According to PWInsider.com, Bauer reached out earlier this week for one last chance at negotiating a last-minute deal. Lawlor was set to finish up with MLW at the upcoming set of television tapings in New York this December, but around 2AM ET the two finally came to terms. He is now signed to a new, exclusive multi-year contract.

Bauer wrote on Twitter late last night, “Going to be one of those looong, crazy nights working on a deal. I’m not sleeping until there’s pen to paper. Hope to have something unexpected for you by the morning. The world of MLW never stops…”

Major League Wrestling made its return in late 2017 after a 13-year hiatus, and Lawlor competed third from the top with a win over Jeff Cobb in his debut. He won the MLW World Heavyweight Championship in February, defeating Low Ki, and held the title for 154 days before dropping it to Jacob Fatu in July.

Going to be one of those loooong, crazy nights working on a deal. I'm not sleeping until there's pen to paper. Hope to have something unexpected for you by the morning. The world of @MLW never stops…
