Public Intoxication and ‘Conduct Issues’ Reportedly Lead to WWE Releasing Big Cass

As noted on Tuesday of this week, WWE Smackdown Live star Big Cass was released from the company following a loss to Daniel Bryan at WWE Money in the Bank this past Sunday.

According to a new report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Cass’ release was a result of a combination of factors, including “personal conduct issues”. The report furthers that Cass was said to be drinking quite heavily during WWE’s most recent overseas tour, and “being intoxicated in public is one of the underlying reasons the WWE office was down on Cass.”

The report furthers that despite company officials deciding to part ways with the nearly 7-foot tall Cass, he was up until recently a favorite of Vince McMahon’s and his match against Daniel Bryan at Money in the Bank was said to have impressed WWE officials.

There was said to be internal surprise in WWE that Cass was released, which as we reported on Tuesday was made when Vince McMahon decided to hold a private meeting ahead of the Smackdown tapings in Toledo, Ohio. No word at this time as to what the future holds for Cass.
