Young Bucks Announce Move to NJPW Heavyweight Division & Tease Dream Match Against Kenny Omega

The complete implosion of the Bullet Club continues…

Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi defeated Cody Rhodes and Marty Scurll in the main event of this Saturday’s NJPW Honor Rising event, marking the Golden Lovers’ first victory since reuniting as a tag team. Following the bout Omega spoke to the Korakuen Hall in Japanese, stating that this weekend had been one of the best in his life, and claiming that the Golden Lovers had reassembled the best tag team in the world.

That last statement did not sit well with the Young Bucks, who have essentially carried the New Japan junior tag team division on their back for the last several years. The Bucks announced that after a record seven reigns as IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champions they were officially moving to the heavyweight division, letting Omega and Ibushi know they would be seeing them very soon.

While unconfirmed, The Young Bucks vs. The Golden Lovers is expected to take place at NJPW Strong Style Evolved in Long Beach, California on March 25th.
