L’Équipe report that despite hat the fact that Rennes’ priority target to replace Édouard Mendy is Alfred Gomis (Dijon), Pini Zahavi is seeking to place his client and German international goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (Frankfurt) there.
He would like to return to France, having previously been at PSG, but he is not a priority for Sporting Director Florian Maurice, owing to his elevated salary, which sits at €5m gross a year.

But, Zahavi has leverage with the Brittany side as he has been tasked with finding midfielder Clément Grenier a club, in a situation that is viewed as a nuisance by Rennes, owing to the player’s considerable salary yet lack of major contribution to the club’s plans as it currently stands.
Zahavi is trying to move him to Real Valladolid, but it has not been a priority situation for the Israeli super agent. The outlet claims that he could rapidly unblock the deal should he want for the 29-year-old former AS Roma and Lyon player, in a €2m transfer that would allow Rennes to lose a €250k per month gross salary payment…
Will they succumb to agent pressure and switch priority targets in the goalkeeping position?
