Two big first-time ever singles matches took place on the post-Royal Rumble edition of Raw.
One night after winning the women’s Royal Rumble, Asuka kept her undefeated streak alive by submitting Sasha Banks. In the main event, John Cena defeated Finn Balor after eliminating him in the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
Cena vs. Balor was the third Elimination Chamber qualifying match to take place on Raw. Braun Strowman faced Kane in a last man standing match and Elias took on Matt Hardy. There will be three more qualifiers before the pay-per-view, with the winner of the Elimination Chamber going on to challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
There will also be a women’s Elimination Chamber match at the PPV, which will feature Alexa Bliss defending her Women’s Championship against five challengers who have yet to be revealed. Stephanie McMahon made that announcement in the opening segment of Raw.
