At the Clash of Champions pay-per-view, some fans were surprised to see Dolph Ziggler emerge victorious in a triple threat match for the United States Championship which also featured Bobby Roode and Baron Corbin. What made it even more shocking is that Ziggler seemingly surrendered the title and walked out of WWE without any explanation just two days later on Smackdown. PWInsider has revealed that Ziggler will likely not be appearing on Smackdown for the next few weeks in order to sell the storyline. Despite this, Ziggler is still scheduled to appear on live events for the company while he is gone from television.
