Former Lucha Underground Champion Sexy Starr recently spoke with Rodolfo Roman for an appearance on “The Roman Show” for an interview about her pro wrestling career.
During the discussion, Starr spoke about whether or not she feels she inspired the women’s revolution to grow to the WrestleMania headlining-level of interest it has started to create.
According to the former title-holder in Lucha Underground, she is deserving of a level of credit and respect for the inspiration that helped lead to the women’s revolution in the business over the last several years.
“I personally think that yes,” said Starr when asked if she thinks she inspired the women’s revolution that is still going strong in WWE, NXT and other promotions today. “WWE took notice. I am proud that they gave me that opportunity as a woman, as a Mexican and as a warrior. I felt they (WWE) found out that that had a big buzz all over the world. I think it inspired them to act.”
She also touched on the fact that she would love to get the opportunity to have a run in WWE.
“I would love to join WWE. I am open to it,” Starr confirmed.
“As a Mexican, I know WWE has a different type of wrestling,” she added. “It is the number one. I think it would be the only thing missing for me. I would love to.”

As far as who she would like to see standing across from her inside the squared circle if she were to end up in WWE, Starr made it clear that it’s a former UFC Hall Of Famer she has her sights set on.
“Can you imagine me versus Ronda Rousey in the WWE or the cage,” questioned Starr in response to being asked who she would like to compete with from the current list of female talent performing for WWE.
