WWE has released the first promo spot for their upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view, taking place in Chicago, IL on June 17th. Check it out above.
Next month’s show will be interesting as it’s the first time in a few years that WWE will hold the event with both the RAW and Smackdown Live brands present, and the first time since 2013 that the company went into it with two world championships. That year there were two Money in the Bank ladder matches, one for each title, but now that they’ve incorporated a women’s ladder match as well, it seems unlikely that they would have four of them on a single show.
Styles Vows Revenge For Low Blows
In case you missed it, the highly anticipated third chapter in the AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura rivalry ended in a draw at WWE Backlash, after both men kicked each other in the balls and neither could stand to answer a 10-count. Yes, seriously. That’s actually how it ended. If it makes you feel any better, they didn’t get to main event the show either, as the non-title match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, that didn’t feature any sort of unexpected twists or set up any future angles, finished off the night in front of a very hostile Newark crowd.
After the bout, WWE cameras caught up with AJ Styles who vowed to get revenge on his old rival for all the low blows he’s connected with over the last several weeks. At this point I think it’s safe to say the “Phenomenal One” won’t be adding any new tattoos to his side piece for quite some time…
