BFC open day 2008

On 8th April 2008 the Open Day of the British Fashion Council (BFC) will take place between 10am – 6pm at a new venue, the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) building, 66 Portland Place, W1. The annual event gives industry insiders the opportunity to preview the work of graduates who will be entering the job market later in the year. A wide range of retailers, manufacturers and design companies have been invited to attend. Exhibiting colleges will be judged for The Drapers College Portfolio Award in association with the British Fashion Council. The Award is for the college that brings the best portfolio based on overall presentation – last year’s winner was Manchester Metropolitan University. Hilary Riva, Chief Executive of the BFC commented, “This event has proved to be a fantastic networking opportunity for all concerned, and is a great way for the country’s top fashion colleges to cement their relationships with key industry decision makers.”
