According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar is set to return to the ring on Friday, June 7th for the controversial WWE Super Showdown event in Saudi Arabia. He will reportedly be challenging Seth Rollins for the Universal title.
While many are understandable skeptical when it comes to news breaking from WrestleVotes, due to it being a social media only source, it’s worth noting that in recent months their Twitter account correctly reported on multiple WWE Hall of Fame inductees, the location for WrestleMania 36, and more recently, several Smackdown names including Daniel Bryan being backstage at Raw the night that the “Wildcard Rule” was established.
Already announced for WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia is Goldberg vs. The Undertaker, and Triple H vs. Randy Orton. For what it’s worth, it was reported multiple times going into WrestleMania that Brock Lesnar’s contract did not actually expire after dropping the Universal title to Rollins, because he had another match left on the deal that was likely for the Saudi Arabia show.
The plan for the Universal Title match in Saudi Arabia is Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar.
