On December 5, amid the growing number of rape case reported in the state, the Madhya Pradesh Assembly had passed a bill that proposed to award death sentence to those found guilty of raping girls below 12-year age.

But this has not changed anything as anotherfour-year-old girl was raped and dumped at a secluded place on Sunday in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.

The accused has been arrested.

According to the police, the minor was found in a bad shape in Parasmania area of the district. The accused, Mahendra Singh, 23, had abducted the child when she was sleeping in the courtyard of her house.
