Ligue 1 side FC Nantes are considering making a move for Sheffield Wednesday’s striker Lucas João, according to 20 Minutes.

Sergio Conceição is looking to add a forward this window, with Les Canaris generally struggling for goals in the first half of the season.

Another player that Nantes are watching intently is Tomas Podstawski, a 21 year old defensive midfielder who is currently plying his trade for the FC Porto reserve outfit.

There is much speculation surrounding whether or not FC Nantes will be aided in their transfer policy this window by Doyen Sports, with the company having close ties to Conceição, with reportedly as many as five signings possible should the the fund back Nantes in this way.
