Knockouts Title Changes Hands at Bound For Glory, Former WWE Champion Spotted Ringside

Former WWE Star at Bound For Glory

Former WWE Superstar and two-time Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella was spotted ringside at Sunday night’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view. He was actually shown on-camera and the announcers refereed to him by his real name Anthony Carelli, making a joke about not bringing any “cobras” to the show.

The long-time WWE star is from Ontario, Canada where he currently lives, so it’s likely he was just there to see the show and catch up with some friends. We’ll keep you updated if anything more comes out of his surprise appearance.

Knockouts Title Changes Hands

Gail Kim was successful in winning the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory, defeating both Sienna and Allie in a triple threat match. This will be her seventh reign as champion, breaking the all-time record she previously shared with Angelina Love.

Gail announced several weeks ago that she planned to retire from professional wrestling at the end of 2017, but made it her intention to “go out on top” by winning the Knockouts title one last time. It was something of a perfect moment for the 40-year-old Canadian star, who pioneered the Impact Wrestling women’s division and won the inaugural title at Bound For Glory way back in 2007. It was noted that she will address the fans on Impact Wrestling this week about her future.
