La Provence report this morning that Ligue 1 side Marseille have entered into contact for 29-year-old Venezuelan international striker Salomon Rondon.
Marseille appreciate his robust profile and André Villas-Boas wishes to take advantage of the fact that he is available on a free transfer at the end of the month. Local sources have since indicated that the player has another 12 months remaining on his West Bromwich Albion contract.
Fenerbahce are also in talks and Marseille would like to accelerate discussions in the coming days but the Copa America is proving a considerable obstacle in that regard.
OM are looking at other options because they want to sort out their future first choice striker rapidly.
