Matt Morgan Wins Election, Carmella Turns on Ellsworth, New Music

Matt Morgan returned to Impact Wrestling earlier this year, but he decided to leave the promotion not long after he made his return. Weeks later, it was revealed that Morgan would be running in an election this year in Florida. On November 7th, Matt Morgan won the race to become Longwood City Commissioner in District 4. Morgan has been working as a spokesperson for the Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), as well as the Drug Abuse Resistance Program (D.A.R.E.) as of late. The Seminole County election results show Matt Morgan winning over his opponent, Mark Weller, by about 58.5% – 41.5%.
After several months of Becky Lynch and James Ellsworth bickering back and fourth on television and on social media, the two faced off against each other in an intergender match on Smackdown this week. After realizing that he did not stand much of a chance against Lynch, Ellsworth begged for her forgiveness. Lynch decided to lock him into the Dis-Arm-Her submission move instead, and he tapped out within moments. After the match, Carmella came to Ellsworth’s aid, but she delivered a superkick to her friend before she headed to the back. It appears that whatever relationship the two may have had is now officially finished for good.

WWE works very hard to create entrance themes that will stand out for particular wrestlers, although the company does still bring in some outside acts to create music for them. Fans may remember the old “This Fire Burns” theme by Killswitch Engage that CM Punk used for a good chunk of his WWE career. While the company won’t be resurrecting the old theme, the band recently announced on ‘Jon’s Untitled Podcast‘ that they are in the process of creating two new songs for certain WWE Superstars. The wrestlers in question were not named by the group, but it may not be long before Killswitch Engage once again blasts throughout arenas as a superstar makes his or her way down to the ring.
