– WWE will tape this week’s edition of SmackDown as well as broadcast this week’s edition of ECW on Sci-Fi live tonight from the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia. This will be the final WWE programming before this Sunday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Both shows will be making their debut in High Definition.

– The main event for tonight’s ECW on Sci-Fi will be CM Punk vs. Chavo Guerrero with Edge in his corner for the ECW Championship. This will be the fourth week in a row that WWE has gone with this main event for their ECW broadcast. Also Kofi Kingston will make his television debut.

– As announced last night on RAW, WWE will tape Finlay vs. The Great Khali in a Belfast Brawl tonight to air on this week’s edition of SmackDown.
