According to Nice Matin, Ligue 1 side OGC Nice made contact with former Brazilian international Alexandre Pato’s representatives about a possible move before the attacker decided to join Spanish side Villarreal.

The 26 year old ended up joining the Spanish side for a little over €5m. OGC Nice continue to search for an experienced attacker on the Europe stage before the window shuts at the end of the month.
