Leclerc and Norris top ‘Race for the World’ line-up
The first of Saturday’s two races took place at Yas Marina, but quickly descended into chaos. First when the entire field was inadvertently put in ‘ghost’ mode, and then when dubious driving tactics and an attempt at creating a safety car restart resulted in cars leaving the track left and right.
Poleman Alex Albon eventually survived the pandemonium which was broadcasted live on each drivers’ Twitch channel, the Red Bull charger followed across the line by talented footballer/gamer Thibaut Courtois and Arthur Leclerc.
