SmackDown Star Taking Time Off, WWE Taking A Look At Women's Wrestler, More

— Howard Finkel has posted a blog on WWEUniverse.com analyzing Raw’s Draft picks.

The London Free Press has a story on 23-year-old Laura “Cherry Bomb” Dennis, a women’s wrestler from Canada. It would appear that a tryout is in store for Dennis as she was contacted by WWE’s talent relations to show up at the Monday Night Raw show taking place on May 17 at the Air Canada Centre.

“All they told me was be there and bring my ring gear,” she said. “That’s all I know. I don’t have any expectations.”

— Playing kayfabe, Matt Hardy wrote on Twitter that he will be out of action for a few weeks due to the recent attack from Drew McIntyre.

“Sorry I couldn’t wrestle on Raw last night due to my head injury caused by that reckless bastard Drew McIntyre,” Hardy wrote. “Looks like I’m gonna be out of the ring for a couple weeks. I apologize to my fans for that. I just hope I’m cleared & they allow me to get back in a WWE ring soon.”
