‘Straight Up Steve Austin’ Viewership Down, Stays in Monday Night’s Cable Top 10

The August 26 edition of Straight Up Steve Austin, the USA Network’s new celebrity interview series featuring the “Stone Cold” WWE Hall of Famer, was watched by an estimated 978,000 viewers.

This is the first time the show has dipped below one million viewers, and the least watched of the three episodes so far. Austin interviewed Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield as they drove around town in a real-life Warthog from the Halo video game franchise, discussed his career and ate some delicious food.

The good news for the USA Network is that the show, while dropping in viewership week-over-week, actually jumped up a position in the cable rankings on Monday night, landing at #9 in adults 18-49. With Monday Night Raw still holding down spots #2-4 it was still a relatively strong week for the network.

Next week’s episode should do well if USA is able to retain the wrestling crowd following Monday Night Raw, as Becky Lynch will be Austin’s special guest for the entire episode.
