L’Équipe report that Ligue 1 side Strasbourg have had an opening offer for 24-year-old central defender Alexander Djiku rejected.

The SM Caen defensive lynchpin is widely expected to leave the Normandy side this summer after the club was relegated to the French 2nd division.

Talks will continue next week between SMC and RCSA over a possible a deal for Djiku.
