WATCH: Zach Kibirige’s CLEVER finish in Western Force’s loss to the Reds

Winger Zach Kibirige showed his class with a neat finish in the corner in the Western Force’s 31-17 loss to the Reds in Super Rugby Pacific on Saturday.

The visitors were looking to apply some early pressure on the Reds and were attacking in their 22. The ball was moved through the hands down the right before an offload unlocked some space for Tom Horton who tumbled to the ground. He managed to pop the ball up to Kibirige, who was close to the line but still had a lot to do.

He showed his try-scoring instinct by changing the hand he was holding the ball with and stretching for the corner to score.

That moment was the first points of the day, with the Force failing to convert from the touchline in the seventh minute.

The scoreboard would not change for 10 more minutes as the game settled in until Fraser McReight went over for his first try of the game. Fly-half Lawson Creighton stepped up and nailed the conversion with no issue.

The Wallaby flank would have his second try in the 24th minute as number eight Harry Wilson played him in under the posts. Again, Creighton was on hand to add the extras.

The Reds would drum home their advantage through Matt Faessler, who crashed over in the 33rd minute for a converted try.

The Force would open the scoring in the second period through Michael Wells, who crossed for a five-pointer with a conversion attempt missed in the 54th minute.

It took the hosts 11 minutes to respond with a try of their own through George Blake, with replacement Tom Lynagh adding the extras.

Kibirige would cross for his second of the game and the last try in the clash in the 73rd minute as Ian Prior converted. The Reds would have the last say with a Lynagh penalty to keep the visitors out of striking distance.
