According to our colleagues atGoal France, Toulouse striker Wissam Ben Yedder has become Lyon’s principal target for the summer transfer window.
Toulouse have told Wissam Ben Yedder that he has a right to leave the club this summer, having rejected an offer worth more than€12m for the player last January.

Lyon also made an offer for Ben Yedder in January, offering cash plus Claudio Beauvue for the French youth international. That offer fell through because Beauvue had no intention of joining TFC.
However, Lyon have since remained in contact with the player’s entourage, positioning themselves ahead of the pack as negotiations for a summer transfer start to begin in the coming weeks.
According to the report, Ben Yedder is interested in a move to Lyon, and that they are one of two clubs that he would stay in France for, the other being PSG. Wissam Ben Yedder’s agent also manages the interests of Michy Batshuayi, so Marseille amy attempt to exploit this relationship should the Belgian international be sold in the summer.
Outside of France, three clubs in particular have been in contact for Ben Yedder: AS Roma, Villarreal and Sevilla.
The report claims that Sevilla are the side with the best chance to sign the player from outside of France, with an established reputation of taking Ligue 1 talents and developing them into some of Europe’s best players.
Villarreal may have Champions League football to offer next season however. AS Roma have not been in regular contact for Ben Yedder and therefore start some steps behind the Spanish pair of clubs in the race for the Tunisian’s services.
