— As announced on Raw tonight, the theme for their next three-hour episode of Raw on December 8 in Philadelphia, PA will feature the return of the Slammy Awards. This will be the first Slammy Awards to be presented by the company since 1997, which were broadcast on the USA Network. Awards such as “Superstar of the Year” and “Diva of the Year” will be presented during the show.

— It was announced on Raw tonight that WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena would be wrestling Kane on next week’s show.

— Tonight’s edition of Raw saw the much anticipated return of two-time WWE Women’s Champion Melina. Melina scored the pinfall over Katie Lea in the Six-Diva match. This was Melina’s first WWE appearance since June 23, 2008 where she injured her ankle when she fell from the turnbuckle in a match. Melina was originally scheduled to return in January, so her return is way ahead of schedule. Also, WWE kind of botched the surprise by accidentally playing her video on the TitanTron while Candice Michelle made her entrance.
