In his press conference this afternoon ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s trip to Rennes tomorrow evening, Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Kylian Mbappé would be available to play, having returned from his holiday across the pond with Achraf Hakimi.
His words reported by L’Équipe, the PSG head coach indicated that the post-World Cup reunion between his front three had been going well. Mbappé had returned just days after his hat-trick in the final against Argentina, with Neymar coming back shortly afterwards, with Brazil having been knocked out at the quarter-final stage.
While the French forward was granted a week’s rest, Lionel Messi made his return after his triumph in Qatar, scoring the second in Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Angers.
Galtier explained this afternoon that Mbappé was not too affected by the disappointment in Doha for Les Bleus, and was ready to attack the rest of the campaign with the team: “He’s doing well, he’s available, he’s training normally, like a great professional.”
