An Indian was sentenced to 13 years in jail and 12 strokes of the cane for courting a 12-year-old with gifts and grooming her to engage in sexual act with him by Singapore Court. His adult girlfriend reported the crime.

A 31-year-old Indian pleaded guilty to one charge of sexual assault of a minor and two charges of attempted statutory rape, according to a media report.
