Impact Wrestling has officially announced that the “Undead Bride” Su Yung will defend the Knockouts Championship at this year’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, against a true legend of the division, five-time champion Madison Rayne.

They have been running a story over the last few weeks where Rayne returned to the promotion and was on commentary during women’s division matches, but was pulled back into action when challenged by Tessa Blanchard. After defeating Blanchard at Impact Under Pressure, the Killer Queen continued to pick up steam, and this week scored a huge win over “Lucha Royalty” Taya Valkyrie to be named #1 contender to the title.
