WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently spoke with TMZ Sports, and during the brief interview, which you can watch in full below, Ross commented on the much-praised Ronda Rousey WWE debut with the following:
“I thought Ronda Rousey’s debut was the most impressive thing I’ve seen in pro wrestling in my 40-year career … best debut I ever saw,” JR told TMZ Sports.

Ross went on to praise WWE for hiring the former UFC Champion, calling it a “smart hire”. Ross was also asked about Ronda Rousey possibly leading other female athletes to crossover to WWE, and Ross agreed that “a lot more women are going to train for the opportunity to go to WWE. When you can go use your physique and athleticism and personality to make a lot of money why not go to WWE?”
