— We reported earlier today on a situation involving WWE’s Rusev which brought into question his status with WWE. Not only was Rusev pulled from the Casket Match against the Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble event later this month, but he made changes to his social media accounts, removing references to “Rusev” and even including an email address that implied he was seeking independent bookings.
— This situation is all a work and Rusev is still with WWE, hasn’t asked for his release and is going nowhere. In fact, he is scheduled to be part of the Greatest Royal Rumble event, taking part in the actual 50-man Rumble match.
— Furthermore, Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated tweeted the following:
Wrestling fans, I asked the WWE if Rusev has left the company. WWE said those rumors are not true, he is still with the company and he will be in the Royal Rumble match at Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. #RusevDay
